Nostalgia, the feeling that is most prevalent to me within this piece. Throughout my childhood my dad and I bonded over music. He introduced me to just about every genre of music you could think of and he taught me how to play guitar. I remember he used to wear this shirt that read "CBGB, New York City Music Club". In a way, this shirt represents my childhood in that CBGB stands for Country, Bluegrass and Blues. These three genres remind me of the comforting presence of my dad. Just as I find comfort in the smokey voice of Chris Stapleton, the unique finger style guitar picking of Bill Monroe, and the rich beefy riffs of BB King.
